They told her today that she basically drops this argument with him and let our home get damaged due to water flooding or they will look into removing her from the situation.
Any help in this manner would be helpful thank you.
Did you draw up a contract with this person or company? Read the fine print if you did and you’ll know where you stand a little better. I would suggest speaking with the local commerce and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as both should be able to give you more information. Since this seems like it could be a time sensitive matter and your house is at risk for damage then yes you should consider hiring a lawyer. If you feel threatened then you may want to speak with the police and ask their advice also, but that would be a separate issue.
"Removing her from the situation"? That sounds like a threat to me. I'd get the best lawyer you can afford and give him or her all the evidence you have in this case. By the way, if you believe her safety is in jeopardy, call the police. Best of luck.
Sounds like a threat to me. Sure, go and discuss with a lawyer.
Get a lawyer.
Honestly, you need the advice of a lawyer...if the threat was delivered in writing...show the attorney. Could be a form of extortion.
thank you everyone for your feedback. we will look into getting one for her protection. don't think it was a physical threat. more of a job status.
get the lawyer
yep, find yourself a good attorney.
