Pharmacist: (after finishing up with the prior customer, and with a glare) Yes.
Me: I came for a flu shot, please.
Pharmacist: (with glare continuing) It'll be about 30-45 minutes. I'm very busy and don't have help. Actually, you should just come back another time.
Me: Maybe I'll just do another time.
Pharmacist: (with glare continuing) The only times when I have help are Monday from 11-1pm and Tuesday 11-1pm. You can try then.
Me: OK, thank you.
The guy may have been trying to be helpful and save me a wait, but it was clear that he wasn't interested in giving me a flu shot, period. The store is downtown and I had other errands to run and so I would have gladly come back in 30-45 minutes; he didn't give me a choice, though.
Is it worth complaining to the chain's customer service department online about this rudeness? I'm never returning there again, but they should know about their bad employees.
I've met many pharmacists who lack basic customer service skills. It seems to be pretty common in the industry.
I might write a letter complaining not about the pharmacist, but asking why they advertise any time flu shots if reality is that there are 4 hours a week when they are possible.
Dont get the bit where you say you didnt have a choice?
Yes you did
He said it would be around 30-45 minutes and he told you WHY it would be that long
YOU say you would have been happy to wait 30-45 minutes cos there were other things you could do
So why didnt you go do them then return after 45 minutes?
It was YOUR decision not to wait not his
So what the hell would you have to complain about?
The fact he couldnt do it there and then?
Cos there was nothing "rude" about what he said, only your claim he glared at you while saying it
Frankly I think you need to grow up if you think that was bad etiquette or manners
I met this guy once in a store and I thought he was so unpleasant. I give him the benefit of the doubt the next time he could not have done enough for me. We all have an off day.
Sounds like the guy was rushed off his feet, just go back when he has help. We're all overworked and knackered.
Take your business elsewhere----If you feel strongly about it write a letter with the description you give here to the chain store---some chain stores have email contact also.
aslo those pharmacist are subcontractor out they don't work for
