Right address, Wrong postal code?

Posted at: 2015-07-28
So I ordered an item from abroad. When i got the confirmation email saying it had been sent out i realised i put my right adress but wrong postal code.

Will the parcel still arrive? Will it come to my address first or the postal code first? If i ring my local sorting office in advance would that help?

You can't correct it, and calling a local p.o. sorting facility will not help. It usually will go to the postal code first. Depending on how far off the postal code is, it may come directly to you after they find the error. As long as you have the correct city, it shouldn't be messed up too bad and get sent in your direction the next day.

I doubt talking to the post office would help, unless you had a tracking number some options provide.

It may be initially routed to the wrong office, when manually sorted by address it then may get a postal code correction, and be re-shipped with added delays.

How long ago did you do this and you can normally change the address if you go onto the website, then your account and change the address.

are you in the US ? if you are, then you can go to the usps website and put in an address correction
