Random mail packages?

Posted at: 2015-07-28
Okay, so it started about a week or two ago, I had just received a package from my friend. And then the next day I got another package, which was odd because I wasn't expecting anything. I had opened it out of curiosity and it contained two books, which I definitely didn't order. I was a little creeped out but it was only a package right? Well, skip to today and I got another package I wasn't expecting and it contained the same two books. Now I'm very confused and creeped out. I look around online for an answer to this and some people said it was credit card theft, and how they were testing it out and stuff, but I'm 15. I don't have a credit card. So now I'm wondering why would Amazon send me gifts randomly? Well that's what I'm assuming, the package didn't have a name or paper in it and the return address said Amazon... Anyways if anyone can explain to me what's going, that'd be really appreciated!

Anything you receive with your name on it, that you didn't order, is legally considered a "gift". Some companies send out gifts to entice you to join something, others simply make mistakes.

As long as they don't try to bill you for them, or make you send them back, they're not doing anything illegal.

I never said it didn't have ANY names, I said it didn't have a name on the return address, etc. that it normally does when I get a package. It obviously had my name on it. That's how I knew it was mine. Sorry for not clearifing that, didn't think I had to.

if it didnt have a name HOW DID YOIU GET IT if the didnt have any names? WELL YOU SAID the package DID NOT have a name

That happends to me sometimes but with mail maybe they have send it to the wrong adress ?
