Ordered something online USPS Track status?

Posted at: 2015-07-28
So June 6 I Ordered something online and well everything was going fine with the track status and updates but now since the 11th the status of the item has been in "Origin post it preparing shipment" also "We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece"(using Usps) and it says it's in pre-shipment. What does that mean and is it Normal for it to be in the same status for 4 days.

I also contacted the seller and he told me "Dear friends, your package has been sent, should have arrived in the US at present, but may need a little time to come out package information" what does that mean also

So yeah I need some help and understanding, I don't order online that much and when I do I get very anxious

Once a package is shipped from another country, USPS cannot track it until it is in the U.S. (In order to show up on USPS tracking it has to be scanned by a USPS Scanner, which only the USPS - in the U.S. - has). So, sounds like the originator issues a USPS tracking number, but it is not in the U.S. yet.

It can take 2 week, or it can take a month for a package to arrive to the U.S. from another country.

ordering something from china will take one to two months to be delivered in the US ; the notice of "preparing to dispatch" = your item has not even been sent from the company you ordered it from ; you will have to be patient and wait

Hey! First off I am the EXACT same way! I love to track my orders and know exactly where my money-bought product is! I live in Canada, so USPS does not come here, as we use Canada post, but similarly the information presented to us by them, is pretty close. Basically, it depends where your item came from, what kind of shipping you bought, and where you live. All of these factors result in waiting. Some packages I bought from the US have delivered overnight, whereas some have taken up to 3 months. Wait for about another week, and then call USPS themselves. The seller would have sent it, but that does not mean that USPS has it close to you. The seller has no reliability as of right now, as it is in USPS' hands. Call them tomorrow if you are really anxious, and give them your tracking number (I'm assuming you have one). Ask them what your Delivery Standard is (Expected Delivery Date) and if they are unclear, tell them that you are unsatisfied and confused. Companies (especially FedEx, And other Shipping Carriers) HATE When customers are unsatisfied. Hope this helps, if not feel free to comment on this and we can talk :)

Hi from past experience of ordering online it's not normal to be stuck in the same status for 4 days. I understood it is being shipped to US exactly where is the shipper located? If it is not in US it could take a few days even 1 month depending location and then the status would be normal, if nothing changes in a total of 7 days contact the seller again and the USPS and explain them your problem with your tracking number so they can confirm to you where it is located and heading.
