Current bid is what you will pay+postage. Your max bid is just how high you will go.
You entered ￡7 as the maximum you wanted to pay. ebay bid on your behalf just enough to beat a lower bid but ONLY up to the maximum you gave them. You currently have the highest bid at ￡5.50 if some one beats that they will raise your bid, but only up to a maximum of ￡7. If some one bids more than ￡7 you lose out. The MAXIMUM including p&p your bid could cost you is ￡8.98

I would not worry the price usually skyrockets in last few mins of auction . I was bidding for an I pod the price went so high I decided to get a new one instead
