Hello. I arrived in UK in august, I am a student at a non-accredited college. One of the mobile companies that I applied at to get a monthly contract has denied my submission because I live in the college, not in a private rented place.

Is there any company that would sign a contract with me? I have no problem with offering a warranty.

You have no credit history in this country meaning no contract mobile phone. On top of that you most likely do not have permanent income. On top of that your visa may be revoked at any time. No company will ever give you a handset worth at least few hundred pounds knowing that you may leave country with it at any time. Sad but true.

they don't consider your current living arrangements to be permanent. when I lived in the dorms, there was a lot I couldn't do because they didn't consider the dormitory to be a permanent residence.
