looking at their market capitalization ( total value of a company on the market ) MSFT is $313 Billion
And between Shells four different stock offerings, RDSA, RDSB, RDS.A, RDS.b it is worth around $700 billion
as to which one makes more money I am not sure, stock prices and profit are only correlated and not causal.

Also looking on forbes most valuable companies, Microsoft is 2nd and Shell is 66th.
Not even close - Royal Dutch Shell (Fortune Global 500) is the largest company in the world with almost $500 billion in revenues and 26.6 billion in profits. Microsoft isn't even the biggest American company (Wal-Mart is) - having $73 billion in sales and $17 billion in profits.
