Don't contact the seller, what you need to do is retract a bid. Go to ebay HELP and type in "retract a bid" , the link is there for you to retract it. You must give a valid reason such as "accidentally put in wrong amount" NOT "I changed my mind".
It's a good idea to learn how to retract a bid before you ever bid on anything. I once accidentally bid 1 mil on something within minutes of the bid going down. Believe me, this is something you want to be able to do quickly! LoL
Contact seller and request him to cancel your bid. They usually comply. You can go to Customer Support and do the same thing on Ebay site.
