The person who won the auction was from Zambia (even though I had "Posts to UK only" on the page, I didn't realise you had to block people from outside of the UK)..
She paid for the item, with the postage for UK prices, so I couldn't get tracking as that wouldn't have made me any profit as I only sold the phone for £20
This person had 0 feedback, and joined the same day she bidded on my item so is there any possibility she's a scammer?
I've disconnected my paypal account from ebay and deleted my paypal account so will she still be able to get a refund?
That was very crooked of you, you took her money and postage knowing that she is from Zambia and then immediately shut down your PayPal account. What you have done is to commit fraud and you could go to jail for that as PayPal have your home address.
Refund her the money right now and pay all of it back otherwise you will be pacing up and down in a jail cell. Obviously your parents have not taught you about being honest in life so its time to learn on your own now.
Shame on you, stealing money from some poor African from Zambia.
You email the buyer to say that as per your listing, you ONLY ship to UK addresses and cannot ship overseas and you will contact Ebay to cancel the sale. You put very clearly in your post that you only ship in the UK so you do not have to send to Zambia
Then report to Ebay that the buyer is from a country you don't ship to
Just email and say that you don't post to Zambia, there's nothing they can do about it...obviously though you must refund...but wait a while to make absolutely sure that the money is in your account, I'd be suspicious if a person from Zambia wanted to buy a used phone from the U.K.
you put only posts to uk on the page ?
then it's up to the buyer to read the page
mail the person and tell them you only post to the UK ..... ( to cover yourself with ebay )
i would avoid doing business with anyone from Africa
Well if you are not sending it then obviously you need to make a refund.
