Would i have to go to the local post office in order to pick up my package or will they deliver it to my door?
I'm pretty sure you don't have to worry about the PO delivering your pkg. Amazon will NOT be shipping an item such as a Violin through the US mail. A 3rd party seller may if NOT 'fulfilled by Amazon. Your violin will come by either UPS or Fed Ex. UPS & FedEx ONLY deliver to a physical address. They will either bring your pkg to your door or give it to your apartment manager. When your item ships - Amazon will tell you who the carrier is & provide a tracking number. You can track your pkg directly from Amazon or the shippers website be it USPS.com, FedEx.com or UPS.com UNLESS you purchase from a 3rd party seller which is NOT 'fulfilled" by Amazon. These sellers are independent & NOT all market place sellers give tracking numbers. If you are going to order via Amazon - buy directly from Amazon or a 3rd party seller which states 'fulfilled by Amazon" since this is a rather expensive purchase & you are a first time buyer.. Fulfilled means Amazon will ship it to you...
If you ever receive a pkg by mail that will NOT fit in your mailbox - the mail person will either deliver the pkg to your door if this is allowed in your apartment bldg or give it to your manager or the mail person will leave a note for you to go to the PO to pick it up. You should ask your manager about this. Find out if he accepts pkgs & find ought if delivery people can bring pkgs to your door.
Good Luck
The carrier, USPS, UPS, or FEDEX will leave a "unable to deliver" notice and you will need to pick it up. If possible have it shipped to a business address instead. You might also want to rethink buying a violin off Amazon as they really only sell junk brands.
you will probably have to pick it up at your post office
I doubt it will be mailed (USPS). They will use UPS or Fedex.
