How do I send an item of on ebay ?

I have a ebay account and i need to send a item off. I have never sent anything off before so can someone explain it step by step. Pretend your explaining it to a 7 year old lol

what equipment do I need to be able to send shoes off, do I need a box and do I tape to stick the address label on the box and then do what do I do? Lol

Yes you need a box. Then you need to pack the shoes in the box so they do not move around. Then you have to tape up the box securily with masking tape so there is no way the box can open. Then you need to put an address label on the box. Then you need to go to the post office and tell them you want to send it with tracking information. Then once you send it, you keep that receipt with the tracking number for 45 days. If the buyer tries to file a claim saying they never received the shoes, that receipt is your only proof that you actually sent them. Without the receipt Ebay will always side with the buyer

Assuming you have safely received payment, yes, if the item is shoes, a shoebox would be ideal to send them in. Add a note to the box, indicating that this is the item, from you as purchased on ebay. Tape the box down securely and then, address the box to the recipient and add your address, marking that as 'sender' in one corner. Either wrap the box neatly and securely in brown wrapping paper, or, for preference buy one of those large, lightly padded envelopes from your post office or stationer and place the box within. Again, address the outer packaging with the recipient's address and your own in a corner, marked again as sender. (All of this ensures that whatever happens in transit, the Post Office will find evidence of where the parcel came from and who it is addressed to.) Then make your choice of sender. Hermes is probably the cheapest sign for parcel service, but there are many others as you know. If you don't insist on a signature on delivery, you risk the loss of the parcel and having to recompense your buyer into the bargain, so don't be too tempted to post ordinary mail, unless you can bear the loss if the parcel goes missing. Hopefully you have already included your mailing costs in the price of the item or allowed enough extra to be charged for P&P (shipping).

put it in a good strong box and use strong tape to hold it shut. tape the address label on the outside and take it to the post office for postage. you can write the address label by hand or use a computer to print one out on plain paper. you don't need a special label. the post office can tell you if it's good enough to mail.

you go to the post office.
