both are good careers, finance sounds like it would be a better option for you.
I'm surprised someone who loves to be around people would want these two jobs to be honest! Accounting is infamous for being dull, and Finance may lead to investment banking and that's hardly known for giving you a great social life!
Think carefully, if you're still not sure don't lock yourself into any career. I imagine you're thinking economics as a degree? Consider all the options: business journalism? You meet clients there and can still talk about business and the numbers, your two loves. Teaching? Definitely around people!
In my family and friends there have been several of both they both have that possibility...although my daughter, Finance, before the econ meltdown did have a nice office, over looking a park area in downtown, now Is an accountant in a small business with an inner office she calls a closet... One of my nephews a MBA and a Masters in Finance ...is with a good firm, dealing with fixed income...the more I, think of the others jobs...the more I think you may be happier in Hospitality, Hotel management, tourism, travel...if your looking at one or the other Finance, but only because a friend of mine graduated and worked in accounting less than two years and went back to get a Masters in Finance, and traveled for years. He was the person that talked my daughter into changing major from Accounting to Finance...
There are many jobs within the profession. Most of my career has been as an auditor - you almost always end up doing this while training with one of the professional accountancy firms - and that can be fun. It requires travelling to clients to look at their books (at their expense!) so it has done wonders for my grasp of geography and you get to see all kinds of businesses. The downside is telling clients what they're doing wrong but there are ways of doing that so they still like you... apparently I'm good at it ;)
finance would lead to a career in banking or financial services/sales - As an Corporate Accountant, I rarely deal with any people outside my company in person
