Ebay invoice....... ??

I am very new to ebay and THOUGHT I was very aware of all the fees 10% of you're item sold , picture fee blah blah. I've only been using ebay for 1 month and I have sold 700.. I've been selling all my name brand clothing for nothing so I can have a little extra money for my baby.. I got an email today that my invoice is 400 dollars I am so furious... I'm done with eBay but I have pending funds on my paypal will they take all of that once it is available? Or still pending ? ??????? and I do not have my debit card linked I have called and they have told me they are having trouble linking my card.,..

My rule of thumb, which many people I know also use, is 15% of the final selling amount. This covers the 10% final value fee, approximately 3% PayPal fee and a little extra for the percentage of fees charged for shipping.

15% of $700 is $105 - let's just round that to $100. The next step is to find out where the $300 difference is. I can not imagine $300 in extra cost upgraded - it's just not possible. However if you used FedEx for shipping through eBay, that is billed once a month as well. Also the billing is tied to the actual delivery, not the day when you created the label. If there a chance you have been using FedEx in some service level above ground /home?

If you have not used FedEx through eBay at all, then there is a billing error. Contact eBay customer service during weekday business hours so as to speak to a representative in the US. They can help you. Don't waste your time with the outsourced CS in the Philippians. Their number can be found on the bottom of every eBay page under "contact us". You enter some basic data and receive an access code. This takes the place of pressing buttons when you call as your phone number is detected and you are routed to the right department right away.

Good luck.

You can check your ebay account sale by sale. Is this to say that you haven't been checking it? Go to your ebay account and underneath where it says "current balance" is says "view all account activity" - there you will find an itemization of all of your transactions which they bill you for. Sounds like you got a lot of upgrades. I've been selling on ebay for 15 yrs and I take the cheapest route possible. Free listings, free photos, NO upgrades (only when they are FREE). Yes, ebay AND paypal nickel and dime you to death, but if you know how to do it... like offering free shipping to avoid shipping percentage charges, paying for shipping through ebay - which offers a discount, and if you do charge for shipping to be sure to add packaging and handling charges - boxes, tape, labels, ink, gas... are not free. You just have to know what you are doing. Consider this a learning experience, but don't get discouraged, just be more mindful.

eBay doesn't take their fees instantly. They send an invoice once a month for their fees. It's PayPal that takes their fees the moment you are paid.

If you've sold only $700 worth of items and your fees are $400 then you used a LOT of upgrades that added on extra charges.

Ebay says you owe them $400 in seller fees and Paypal fees, a total of 13% of item price + shipping. Whatever you have coming to you will be taken for the fees you owe. To verify all your charges, look at Account on MyEbay page and look at the invoices from Ebay for each month. You will see details of all debits and credits. I cant imagine why you owe $400 if you sold $700 worth of merchandise. Possibly they think the stuff is stolen.

What are upgrades on eBay..?
