the only person that see's your address is a seller. How else can they send your item to you. However, some people will specify their work address not their home address. Which is a good idea in some ways if your employers don't mind that but it can back fire when the Courier comes at 0815am and your place of employment does not open until 9am, or them come at 6pm to a premises' that was locked up at 5.15pm
Business/Stores usually displays their general location. They only provide exact location/address when you have made/closed a transaction with them, or when they allow local pick up for their items.
Personal address are not available until a transaction is made between parties. Usually included in the PayPal/payment and shipping information of a transaction.

if you want you get a PO box for all your packages. but other then that the seller needs to see what address to ship to.
You have to know the address to post a sold item to, or return faulty goods. People in business commonly advertise their addresses; what's creepy about that?
