It all depends on the pay schedule. The checks I get are from the hours I worked two/three weeks before. Also, you should ask your boss for your pay stub. This way you can see where your money is going and how much you lose, I lose an average of 12.5% of my check to taxes.
have you received your pay stub yet? check the stub to see what payroll period you were being paid for & what deductions came out of your check. if things still don't match up after that then speak to your supervisor.
Talk to your supervisor or the people in Human Resources. Its likely the payroll cutoff is one or two weeks before you actually get paid. Don't forget your friend the Government. The tax sounds a little heavy but it could be right. look at your pay stub. It will show the number of hours worked, the rate and the Governments cut (the skim).
Your check gets deducted for Social security, federal and state taxes. There should be a website you can go to to look at your check and see your deductions, in a check stub style.
Some payroll are a week or two weeks behind, so you're not getting paid right away for work done.
most corps hold a week
