The easiest way I have ever found a job was going to an employment agency. I did this recently. Not only is it a full time job, but the company they put me with seems to be a really nice place to work. Some workplaces are very difficult work, or very harsh bosses.. etc. I looked up your city and they have offices throughout your area. The name of the agency is EXPRESS EMPLOYMENT PROFESSIONALS. Just google it for your area. If you do drugs they will not help you... so get yourself clean so you can pass the drug test. When they ask you "How much do you want to earn per hour?" don't tell them $15.00 per hour because you WILL NEVER GET A SINGLE CALL. Tell them $10 per hour and you will get calls. Don't worry about the low wages because 40 percent of the companies will hire you directly if they like your work. Otherwise, you are not working for the company you are working at..... you are working for the EMPLOYMENT AGENCY. Some jobs are temporary. Just sit down with the EXPRESS employee who will explain it all to you and give you a couple pamphlets that explain more details. If you are clean of drugs, you could have a job within 2 or 3 weeks if you get moving NOW. One last thing... every EXPRESS office is operated differently. Some offices are more helpful than others. So if ONE office is not helpful... try another of their offices. ... Good luck to you.
I'd be weary of temp agencies, i had one good experience with them where they got me a temp position with a big company that lasted 4 months. Aside from that, the rest were bad expereinces, they are liars and give u false hope.
You'll get something, and tell your parents to cut you some slack, they clearly don't know how hard it is to get jobs these days.
Careerbuilder.com can give you leads to temp agency jobs, or if you are reasonably fit, the Air Force is an easy hitch, ask to be in logistics and support and you can be far from action. Go full time instead of reserve, full medical coverage, room and food, and after basic there is nobody screaming in your face calling your mother a maggot f&#ker like in the Marines.
You're not going to get a job by begging for one on here.
Apply to any thing you think you can do. Don't be too picky when it comes to jobs.
Also register with a few temp agencies.
