So i reply in the case using the 'message' option as it is ( buyer's favour )
I tell him that he have to return the item first and then i will refund him...
I purchase a return label and gave it to him like what amazon or walmart usually does. And i asked him to paste it on the box and then send to post office to me And then i tell him that I'm paying the return ship and i also asked if he dont mind that i take the return shipping out of his refund.. which is FULL refund MINUS return shipping.
Until now it has been a few days ...case started on thursday and till now he doesnt reply at all
Question is ... what should i do ?
Please help ... thanks
Yes, just as long as your original listing on ebay under returns states that the buyer is responsible for the cost of return postage your fine.
Its rather nice of you to actually provide the return prepaid postage label aswell, its rare to see that these days! well done
Until the item you sent has been returned in the same condition, the money is yours (but don't spend it, just in case).
1 thing you cant do its take return shipping costs out of the refund
The buyer has paid for the goods you advertised.- NOT for something else.
If they are not as advertised then it aint the buyers fault- its yours cos you are in breach of contract, so YOU are liable for ALL costs (and that includes costs for shipping to the buyer and returning to you
You are lucky if they dont charge you THEIR costs in unpackin/re-packing and taking to the carrier - cos you would be liable for those as well.
((technically he is entitled to hold onto goods until you have refunded, he is not required to wait until you receive them before getting a refund.
Cos technically he is under no obilgation to arrange to return them, but wait until you arrange for them to be cellected
If the advertisement included free postage or a preset fee for postage then the sale contract was for YOU to deliver the goods you advertised to him,.
If the goods aint as described then you failed to fulfil that contract so its your responsibility to collect the goods, not his to send them back.)
(returning goods that aint as described is not the same as returning goods cos you changed your mind).
Wait for him to send it back.
