Apartment eviction problem?

Posted at: 2015-07-28
Friend who lives next door is having problems with his apartment, his mom bought it for £40,000 and had £3000 due left, that was in 2000, but dude who sold gave them 2 years to pay. They didn't. Now, 13 years after the due date. He wants them out and gave a notice telling them to pay £60,000(Valued by an officer) withing a week or out.

Is there anyway to win this? Or what points do they need in order to get the judge in their favor or something and reduce the payment or whatever the judgment will be.

Thanks.

The breach of contract is a loser in court for Mom. So Mom needs to try to work something out with the seller before it gets to court. If the contract didn't include making the buyer pay all taxes and insurance, reimbursement for both would be due to the seller/owner along with the unpaid principal and then all of this money would be subject to both interest and the interest on the unpaid interest. And don't scrimp on the interest rate either, as you want to entice the seller to believe you are allowing him to take advantage of you, considering the alternative.

That does not make sense. If you bought a property how can the seller evict you? Only the owner can evict anyone living in a property.

He needs a lawyer to get a more reasonable estimate here. 3000 doesn't turn into 60000 in 15 years. Sounds like the allegation is 40000 wasn't paid either.
