The tracking number is issued when they pay for shipping. It could be right after you order it and the shipping label sent to be put on the package. If it goes on a truck that gets to the carrier on Friday afternoon, then it should be on it's way to you. If the truck doesn't get to the carrier until later, then it may wait until Monday before it gets sorted and sent.
If you didn't get tracking yet, they likely have not shipped it yet. Many Amazon sellers are outside businesses who may be closed on weekends.
When the order/shipment is processed you would normally get a tracking number via email along with your receipt. You should be able to track your order directly through the Amazon website in your account. View the order page.
Amazon will send you your tracking number when your item ships. You will receive an email confirming shipment. Amazon does ship on weekends. Depending on your item & the shipping method - could be today, tomorrow or Monday. If you purchased from a 3rd party seller - it could be longer.
BTW - when you placed your order & when you received your confirmation email, you should have received an estimated date of arrival. When your item ships, you will receive a tracking number. If you purchased from a 3rd part seller (not fullfiled by Amazon) - you may or may not receive a tracking number from the 3rd party seller - only an estimated date of arrival.

Since it's the weekend and they only ship on business days, I would expect it Tuesday or later.
sometime on Saturday when they update things.
