What is the nicest way to ask for my money.. I've been working at this job for 3 weeks and I still haven't gotten paid.. I understand that the first week I started was pay day so I wasn't expecting to be paid, the pay is bi weekly and everyone got paid this past Friday expect for me. Now my manager stepped out when it was time for me to go, I waited to talk to her but then my ride came and I had to leave. So I don't get lied to by my manager I just wanna ask around so I'll know what to expect when I talk to her. Like is this right that I haven't gotten paid yet or will I for sure get paid the following pay day

Every 2 weeks you should be paid for the hours you worked in a 2 week period. Your company might issue paychecks one or two weeks after the end of the pay period. If you've been working 3 weeks you deserve an explanation for why you haven't gotten a check.

Many companies hold back the first paycheck. When you leave the job, then you will get that paycheck on the next payday after you have left. I think they hold it back in case you end up owing them money, like if it was proven that you stole something or deliberately damaged something etc,. If that's the case, you should start getting a paycheck on the next payday. But of course ask somebody about it, if they hold back the first paycheck when you first start working there.
